Annunciation Annunciation liturgical season

This month, we can start preparing for Advent by putting our feet into those of Mary. The text of the Annunciation (Luke 1: 26-38) will be our guide in awakening to faith and family to celebrate, pray, tinkering in preparation for the celebration of Christmas.

MEETING OF PARENTS

reading from Luke 1.26-38

1 / Identify the titles given to Jesus in the words of the angel

This story reveals the personality and mission of Jesus. The titles given to him are those that give the Risen Christians in the light of Easter: "Son of the Most High," "Son of David", "Son of God." Quite the mystery of Christ and his divine nature is revealed by the angel, a spokesman of God. This child will come not just any child. The question posed by this text is addressed to all believers and to us today: Who is Jesus?

We believe that Jesus is not just a man. We believe in his divine nature as we profess in the Creed at mass. Jesus is "God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God."
With children, therefore present Jesus in his humanity at Christmas (born tiny, fragile, like all men) and also in his divinity (He is the Son of God).

2 / How is Mary?
Mary, "upset" by the appearance, full questions yet accepts the mission entrusted to him. "Behold the handmaid of the Lord Let everything be done to me according to thy word."

Children are pleased to be associated with the time of Advent which is a call to conversion: we turn his heart to turn to Jesus.
In awakening to faith and family , we can encourage children to accept Jesus as Mary. With her "yes," Mary guides us on the path of Christmas. Children can live Advent his example: yes, I agree to serve, store my room, to obey, to prepare to share my heart to receive Jesus coming at Christmas. With our children, say "YES" to the love of one who comes.
can end this meeting with the parents read the "Prayer to Our Lady of YES" (see the message "Annunciation Prayer".

Dialogue. This
History Does it remind you something you lived in? Does it happen to you often say no? Are not we happier when we say yes?

TIME SPEECH

Read the story From the Gospel of Luke,

two thousand years ago, a young girl named Mary lived in Nazareth in Palestine . It was expected she married Joseph, the carpenter of the village. One day the angel Gabriel, the messenger of God appeared to him: "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. "Mary was greatly troubled by these words. The angel said to him: "Do not be afraid Mary, God is with you. You'll give birth to a son whom you call Jesus. It will be great and will be called the Son of God. It will be the Messiah, the Savior that your people is long overdue. The Holy Spirit will come upon you, therefore he that is born will be holy. Your cousin Elizabeth is also pregnant when she could not have children, because nothing is impossible with God. Mary said: That everything happens to me like you said. "And the angel left her.

Dialogue:
- The angel told Mary that she would the mother of an extraordinary baby. Who is this baby? Do you know when we celebrate his birth?
.- Marie she agreed to be the mother of Jesus? She said yes to the angel he or she said "no, I do not want" as Lise in the story?

Mary said yes to the angel. Right now, we are preparing Christmas. We can prepare a place in our heart to receive Jesus. For this, we can do like Mary and say yes to what God wants. God asks us to be kind to others, sharing, loving us. We can say "yes" to God in the little things in our lives: "yes" to render service, "yes" to share our business, "yes" to obey our parents.

' TIME OF THANKSGIVING
My God, Mary received thee in his life
She told you "yes" and you have done wonders
In my life, my God, just as
With Mary, I say "yes "

TIME OF SENDING
Today, we learned that saying yes is of joy around us. In this Christmas time we prepare, we prepare a place for receiving Jesus in our heart. Welcome him with joy and said yes in the little things everyday.
